A cat that lives
on your desktop
Roams, reacts to your typing, sleeps when you stop working. Free to download — Mochi is yours.
macOS 13+ · Windows 10/11
It acts like a real cat
Every animation is driven by real App behavior — nothing is faked.
Roams freely
Wanders across your desktop on its own, exploring the edges of your screen.
Sits & settles
Finds a spot and sits down, just like a cat deciding where to park itself.
Stretches
Wakes up from a nap with a slow, satisfying stretch.
Grooms
Licks a paw and tidies its face when it feels relaxed.
Gets happy
Bounces with a joyful hop when it's in a good mood.
Rolls around
Flops over and rolls on the spot when it feels completely at ease.
Kneads
Paws rhythmically at the air — making biscuits like a contented cat.
Jumps
Springs into the air with a little hop, then lands with a soft thud.
Feed it
Right-click Mochi and select Feed to offer a snack; it'll lower its head and eat.
Sleeps
Dozes off after you stop working, then wakes up when you return.
Pet head & back
Hold the cursor over its head or back to trigger a petting animation.
Tail tease
Poke its tail and watch it flick or get slightly annoyed.
Drag & drop
Pick it up and toss it; it falls with gravity before landing gracefully.
Typing feedback
Perks up and reacts while you type, like a curious desk companion.
Tease mode
Right-click Mochi to open the menu and enter Tease Mode — it chases your cursor, pounces when close, and swats when it catches up.
Hidden easter egg
There's a secret interaction sequence hidden in Mochi. Find it to unlock a full showcase of all animations — in order.

Download & import

Local-only input
The App listens to keystrokes and mouse position on your device to trigger animations. It never reconstructs, stores, or uploads your input.
No telemetry
Production builds have zero analytics. What you type stays on your machine, always.
Accessibility permission
macOS requires you to grant Accessibility & Input Monitoring for the typing animation to work. Learn why →
